The Grove Hill Gazette newsletter is emailed to all residents quarterly in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. The Gazette is also available on the website at www.grovehillhoa.com. If you would like to see something in an upcoming issue, please submit your article to barbara@grovehillhoa.com or mail it to P.O. Box 2658, Auburn, AL 36831.

This newsletter navigates much like a website, with links at the top and bottom of all pages. The Gazette is tied directly to our neighborhood website and can be accessed from the Gazette page. All previous issues can be viewed there as well. If you have a story that you think would be interesting to share with your neighbors please send it to gazette@grovehillhoa.com.

Typically our neighborhood is a Trick or Treat  “hotspot”. This means there will be more children and vehicles than normal on our streets on Trick or Treat night. Please remember to keep our children safe as they participate in the festivities.

Neighborhood Trick-or-Treat - Monday, October 31

Auburn will hold Neighborhood Trick or Treat on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 - 8 p.m. During this time, Auburn's Public Safety Department will provide additional patrols throughout the City for participants. Neighborhood Trick or Treat is for children 12 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Looking for an alternative for traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating? Join Auburn Parks and Recreation and the Auburn Downtown Merchants for the 11th Annual Downtown Trick or Treat on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 - 8 p.m. This FREE, community event features candy and giveaways - courtesy of downtown merchants, live music, and children's activities. Downtown Trick or Treat offers children 12 years and younger an excellent alternative to door-to-door trick or treating. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Downtown streets will be closed during the event.

We Want You –
on the Grove Hill Board

The Grove Hill Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors is made up of twelve elected residents who volunteer their time to oversee the business and maintenance of the neighborhood. Each member serves a three year term and there are typically four vacancies each year.  This year there are four 3-year term positions. Every resident has an opportunity to be nominated and elected to a Board position during the Annual Homeowners’ Meeting held at the clubhouse on January 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Residents can also serve on or even chair a committee such as Landscape, Covenants,  Architectural Review and more. Please join the GHHA Board of Directors and make a difference in your neighborhood!

If you are interested in serving please contact Barbara Arington.

Each home is allowed one vote during the annual meeting on January 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m
